All good things come to an end.
My lease for PUDDINGyarn is coming up and after a lot of thought (and I mean a lot) I’ve decided to close the business. I am so grateful to every one of you for making it possible for me to sell yarn and make a living doing it. Thank you, thank you, thank you for making the last 18 years in the yarn business a pleasure.
This venture gave me the opportunity to meet many new yarn lovers, constantly start new projects, and play with yarns and colour. The yarn business has fed my creative inclinations all these years, but there are so many new avenues I feel compelled to explore. To run a retail business well requires a huge commitment, and with my attention moving in different directions, something must give way. Unfortunately, that something is PUDDINGyarn.
I want to thank my great employees who brought their expertise and personalities into the business. Barb – my right hand - has been with me since the beginning and before. She’s always made sure everyone who walked through the door was treated well and welcomed. Tall Paul strode in needing some yarn and we clicked so well he began working part time and enthusiastically teaching others through his passion for knitting. Thanks also to our most recent new teacher, Amanda, for helping so many through their existing projects and teaching them new skills.
The good news is we still have a lot of yarn, notions, accessories, and patterns to sell. Starting Friday, May 26th all inventory will be discounted by 20%. Sale merchandise also gets an extra 20% discount. Of course, the earlier you come in the better the selection. The discount will also be available on our eCom site using the code: FINALE. We are no longer selling gift cards but if you have one, please use it as soon as possible. As of today, we cannot take special orders (as I will no longer be ordering new stock) and all sales are final.
I look forward to seeing many of you in the coming weeks as we begin winding down. The store will close July 28th (or sooner, depending on available stock).
Once again thank you for supporting PUDDINGyarn and best wishes for your own creative ventures.
